Innovative 100% polyolefin elastic/soft nonwoven fabric

Using Vistamaxx™ high-performance polymers and ExxonMobil™ polypropylene to produce innovative breathable nonwovens with elasticity and soft touch. This new product is processed on a traditional spunbond production line.

The trialer is a leading nonwoven fabric manufacturer, headquartered in Vietnam. He hopes to produce new non-woven fabrics with excellent properties (such as elasticity, soft touch) and cost competitiveness, so as to bring high added value to customers. Some companies use thermoplastic polyurethane materials to produce non-woven fabrics, but the high cost limits their scope of application and is unattractive in many applications.

 

Creating a new type of nonwoven fabric

In the process of selecting partners, customers turned their attention to ExxonMobil, seeking the latter to provide them with polymer and application professional guidance, formulation and grade recommendations, and related technical support. ExxonMobil recommends a nonwoven formulation that is recognized by the industry as the industry benchmark. The formulation contains a high content of Vistamaxx high-performance polymers and ExxonMobil polypropylene.

Finally, a new type of elastic non-woven fabric was born, it has both softness and breathability, but also has a cost advantage. It is manufactured by traditional spunbond production line and can provide different weights from 20gsm to 180gsm, suitable for various non-woven fabric applications. The elasticity of the fabric can be customized to meet the needs of a variety of applications. The product itself is hydrophobic, but its hydrophilicity can be increased by additives.
