Repsol Spain EBA

Spanish company Repsol's EBA stands for Ethylene Butyl Acrylate Copolymer. It is produced through a high-temperature, high-pressure free-radical polymerization reaction of ethylene and butyl acrylate. The butyl acrylate content typically ranges from 5% to 30%, and the physical properties vary significantly with different levels of butyl acrylate.

The advantages of EBA are as follows:

Good low-temperature impact strength

Good compatibility

Excellent electrical insulation properties

High thermal stability

Excellent processing performance, with a smooth and glossy surface

Good filling capacity, suitable for use in masterbatches, flame-retardant masterbatches, inorganic fillers, etc.

This product can be used in various processing methods such as extrusion and injection molding.

It finds applications in industries such as packaging, films, wires and cables, modification of materials (PP, PE, PC, PET, PBT, ABS/PC, PPS, EVA), automotive components, waterproof materials, flame retardant/filling masterbatches, asphalt modification, hot melt adhesives, and more.
